My brief introduction

I am Sanjay, your mentor, yoga teacher and Vedic Astrologer

Nice to meet you! I am Sanjay (birth name Riku Uski), a mentor, teacher, student and Vedic astrologer, rooted in the Yog-Vedic science and tradition in a practical way.

My growth journey took me to deepen my knowledge and practice in the Himalayas in 2023. Before then, I had already let go of many baggages in my life and started my deep healing journey. I had experienced my authentic self trying to break through for a decade, but I was still firmly on track in performing life.

I have always observed life and myself from different angles, but also resisted my deepest growth. When the pain finally grew big enough, it allowed me to leave the old behind and surrender to all the colours of life.

My background includes more than twenty years as a specialist, leader, consultant and entrepreneur in business, start-ups and technology. From a young age, I have fed my hungry mind by learning new skills and by putting myself into action. I've experienced and learned a lot, and I'm grateful for my past.

My former lifestyle was also conducive to exhausting myself and suppressing my sensitivity. The message was ultimately very clear: there are many more layers and frequencies to experience life, it was time to grow out of the boxes..

My old ways of doing things and thinking were coming to an end and I could no longer sacrifice my health. It was time to face myself and my shadows, too. It was also time to let go of escape mechanisms and addictions.

I let go of what no longer served me in my life, regardless of what others might think. My healing became the most important thing.

My life was transformed through daily, holistic practice and the teachings and support I received. At that time, in the spring of 2023, I did not think in advance that "I will now immerse myself full-time to practice, study and eventually teach others". However, since early summer 2023, this has happened beautifully and very naturally ☺️

I live part of the year in the Himalayas in India, the birthplace of Yoga and the Vedic tradition, close to my teacher. I have a holistic and practical understanding of the teachings of ancient wisdom traditions, which I study, teach and practice daily.

Yoga is a beautiful, holistic and practical teaching on how to live a full and happy life. Yoga is a teaching about how we can experience connection with ourselves, each other, nature and life.

Although I had tried all kinds of meditation and physical yoga practices over the years, the deepest essence of yoga had remained unknown to me. Even though I had co-founded a home exercise and asana yoga service in Finland along the way. Only when I came into contact with holistic yoga, with teachers and community who felt the right for me, was I able to experience what a wonderful tradition it is.

Wisdom traditions and sciences that are thousands of years old, such as Yoga and Vedic Astrology (Jyotish), are primarily meant to be taught and learned in the oral tradition. Learning in written and other formats has always been secondary tradition.

I have received comprehensive and practical teacher training in integrative yoga (including philosophy, wisdom tradition, consciousness, Kriyas, breath-work, mantras, meditation, asana) from a Master of the Yog-Vedantic tradition in the Himalayas.

With the same intensity and depth, I have also received (in-person) my training in Vedic Astrology, or Jyotish, in 2024 in the Himalayas as a full-time immersion of almost 2 months.

I have just spent 8 months of my life in the Himalayas learning, practicing, teaching and living in our lovely community.

Today, I am very grateful to support myself and others in a way I never dreamed of before.

Now it is my turn to gratefully share these teachings.

I'll help you make the breakthroughs of your dream life, and you don't have to move to the Himalayas (unless you want to, it's great there too!).
